About us

The Karl-Winnacker-Institut sees itself as an instrument of the scientific work of DECHEMA e.V.. The Institute has a staff of approx. 60 who are involved in

• Basic and preindustrial research in Chemical Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Technology, Chemical Engineering and Materials Sciences
• Teaching activities at German universities in the fields mentioned above
• Continuing professional development courses for participants from industry and universities
• Scientific support for DECHEMA´S Technical Committees, Working Parties and conferences
• Development of solutions to industrial problems
